Harkirat Uberoi is a die-hard foodie whose life revolves around food.
Currently Harkirat is the Kitchen-Catering manager of a large institutional catering company Al Suwaidi Services in Saudi Arabia, managing a diverse nationals crew of about 700+, operating out of 26 kitchens, catering to nearly 1,00,000 meals each day, for about 20+ nationalities.
Born in a defence family, he kept shifting base and made a home in a new place every two years and hence has had wide exposure to different food cultures. Blessed with loving parents, his mom who is a great cook herself and blessed with a deft pair of wonderful cooking hands which were handed down to her through generations so it was but natural to love food and to learn nuances of good food. Harkirat graduated to be a chef and has been practicising professionally for nearly 30 years so food comes naturally to him.
Harkirat has always handled top kitchen positions like he was the Corporate Chef for Reliance Industries, then General manager-cum-Executive Chef for Jewel of India (Sun and Sand Hotel fame), Senior Brand Chef for Sanjeev Kapoor, were some positions held in recent past. Harkirat is very passionate about creating new recipes with experiments through Gastronomique L’Affaire.
I would also like to add that he has a very good sense of humor and is very famous among his circle for his good nature.
