Besan Ki Panjiri

Besan Ki Panjiri, a delicious sweet dish made with gram flour, ghee, sugar, cardamom and dry fruits.

I have made this without using water and milk and the best part is you can store it for 2-3 days and keep eating it after heating it a bit.

It tastes better and better the next day :)


1 cup Besan
Half cup + 1 tbsp Ghee
Half cup Sugar powdered, add more if required
3-4 crushed seeds of cardamom
10-12 Cashews
10-12 Raisins
8-10 Almonds (blanched)
1 tbsp Magaz


Roast Besan in a kadhai for 15-20 minutes till it changes color and becomes deep and lets out an aroma.
Remove the roasted Besan from the Kadhai.
Add ghee in a kadhai, heat it, add roasted besan and mix in well for a few minutes till it turns godliness brown.
Add raisins, almonds and cashews.
Add powdered cardamom powder and powdered sugar and mix in well.
Cook for a few more minutes.
Place it in the serving plate and garnish it with Cashews, Raisins and Magaz.
Serve Hot.
