Malpua by Saveen Kaur

A must have delicious treat every Monsoon season!

Love love love to indulge in these yummy sweet desi pancakes 💗

Low in calories and rich in taste, I have learnt to make these from my Mom 😊 and they turn out fab!

What I love most about making these is that they hardly require any ingredients and don't require much time to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour or atta
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • 1 tbsp dessicated coconut
  • 1/2  - 1 tbsp sugar as per taste
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds

Method

  • Put atta in a Bowl. Add enough water to make a liquid batter. The consistency should not be thick or thin, it should be good enough to make a pancake.
  • Add raisins, coconut, fennel seeds and sugar.
  • Mix it really well and keep it aside like that for 2 hours.
  • When making Malpuas, heat a non-stick pan.
  • Put a small spoon of ghee on it and spread it over the pan. Clean it with a cloth.
  • Spread the batter on the pan and make rounds.
  • Turn it on the other side and cook too.
  • Remove them on a plate and garnish with desiccated coconut and raisins.
