Dates And Jaggery Chutney

Ingredients Of Dates & Jaggery Chutney 

Mom is my kitchen hero,
I have grown up seeing her handling the kitchen so well. She keeps her pastes and chutney ready and stores them so that she can make use of them anytime and make different dishes for snacks everyday.

Dates and Jaggery Chutney is mostly used for making Chaats like Bhel puri, Sev puri, Pani puri and Dahi Puri. You can also use it for making Raita. So let me share with you the recipe of this multi purpose Chutney!


150 gms jaggery
100 gms red seedless dates
2 dry chillies
1 tbsp jeera
1 - 1/2 glass water
Salt to taste


Put the above contents to boil together for 20 minutes.
Let them cool and then grind into a fine chutney.
Some people add, tamarind too but I prefer it without it. 
In case you like tamarind, you can always add it.

I had made Amaranth Fusion with this chutney.
