Chickpeas Sav Style by Saveen Kaur

Chickpeas the way I like it!

I love to experiment with my food!
I am sure you guys can see it for yourself with the kind of recipes I share.
So there is a part of me that loves conventional food and then there is a part of me that loves to experiment.
So today I am sharing with you guys an easy peasy recipe of Chickpeas that I made the other day which was so delicious.
Had made it for dinner, it turned out so good so thought of sharing it with you guys 😊

So this is super healthy, rich in protein and low in calories.

I have paired it with a toast spread with Beetroot Hummus and some fresh homemade Cottage Cheese.

You can pair it with same or a plain toast or anything you would like 😊

Serves 2

Ingredients

1/2 tbsp Oil
2 Cloves of Garlic
1 cup boiled Chickpeas
1 Capsicum diced
1 Onion chopped
1 Tomato diced
1/4 cup fresh homemade Cottage Cheese for garnishing
1 tbsp Ketchup
Salt to taste
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tsp Black Pepper Powder
Dried Oregano for garnishing and seasoning
Red Chilli Flakes for garnishing and seasoning

Method

In a Kadhai, add oil and let it heat.
Add garlic and let it cook till it changes colour.
Add onion, tomato and capsicum.
Mix it all well.
Add Ketchup and mix it well.
Add salt, red chili powder and black pepper powder.
Mix it all and let it cook for a few minutes.
Add little water, if the mixture dries up.
Add boiled Chickpeas and mix in well.

Relish it 😊😋
