Recipe for Tikki -
Ingredients
3-4 Potatoes
Salt to taste
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tsp Pav Bhaji Masala
1 tsp Garam Masala
2 tsp Lemon Juice
Method
Boil Potatoes
In a bowl, mash boiled Potatoes.
Add salt, red chilli powder, garam masala, lemon juice, pav bhaji masala.
Bind them all together.
Make balls.
Flatten the balls and cook them on both sides on a non stick pan.
Keep it aside.
Recipe for Beetroot Raita -
Ingredients -
1 Beetroot
200 gms Curd
1 tsp Salt or to taste
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Red chilli powder
3-4 Green chilli chopped
1 tbsp Coriander
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Red chilli powder
3-4 Green chilli chopped
1 tbsp Coriander
1/4 th cup Milk
Method -
Boil one beetroot. Once its soft, remove it from flame and let it cool. Grate it when cold.
In a bowl add curd, it is very important to break the thick curd to slim it down to a thinner volume. First beat the curd. Then add room temperature milk and then mix in all ingredients together well.
Your delicious Raita is ready.
Garnish with Coriander.
Keep it in the fridge till serving time.
Recipe for Boiled Chickpeas -
Ingredients -
1 cup Chickpeas soaked overnight
Salt to taste
Method -
Strain overnight soaked chickpeas in a pressure cooker.
Add salt and pressure cook.
Close it after 5-6 whistles or till done!
To Assemble the Chaat -
On a plate, place Tikki, spread boiled chickpeas over the tikki's, top it with Raita and garnish with grated beetroot and sev.
Your delicious Chaat is ready to be relished!
