Cottage Cheese Spread, Cherry Tomatoes and Oregano Toast by Saveen Kaur

Gorgeous Nutritious Toast to brighten your morning mood!

So I am always thinking about making food which matches my fitness goals and is also very delicious and filling at the same time!

So I came up with this delicious homemade Cottage Cheese Spread which is not only low on calories but very nutritious and delicious too :) 

It makes for a great substitute for butter and cheese spread! 

It is very simple to make this Cottage Cheese Spread and it is so versatile that you can apply it on your Toast, Roti, Crackers, etc. and pair it up with Tomatoes, Capsicum, Bell Peppers and lots of fresh herbs!

To Make Cottage Cheese Spread

  • 1 litre Milk
  • 1 Lemon
  • Salt to Taste


Boil milk.
Add lemon juice to the Boiled milk and let it cook on medium flame.
The milk will start to curdle.
A light yellowish liquid which is called whey will form and soft Cottage Cheese. 
Strain the liquid from the Cottage Cheese.
Let it cool.
In a blender, add cottage cheese, if need be add little whey liquid and salt to taste.
Blend it well till the cottage cheese turns into a smooth creamy spread! 

To make the Toast -

Ingredients -

  • Cottage Cheese Spread
  • Cherry Tomato
  • Fresh Oregano
  • Bread Slices
  • Cheese Cube - grated (optional)

Method -

On a Toast, spread the Cottage Cheese, decorate it with Cherry Tomatoes and Fresh Oregano and sprinkle some crushed black pepper and grated cheese over it.

Your yummy Healthy Toast is ready to be indulged in.

So simple to make and so nutritious!

Please note : Adding cheese is optional, I like it so have added it. A little cheese never hurt anyone ;)

This is one of the best breakfast options to start your day with!
