Danish Apple Almond Cake by Jasmine Choksi

Danish Apple Almond Cake is a perfect Tea Time Cake ☕☕


1 cup(100gm) whole wheat flour 
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
3/4 cup regular butter(room temp)
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 tin condensed milk 
2 tbsp almond powder
1 small apple - peeled and grated
1/4 cupped almond flakes for topping
3-4 tbsp, or as required


1. Grease and dust an 8inch round cake tin, and sprinkle the almond flakes in it and dab them
2. In a bowl sift whole wheat flour with baking powder, baking soda and 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
3. In a glass bowl beat condensed milk very well 
4. Add essence,mix well
5. Add the room temp butter and beat 
6.Add flour gradually and fold gently with a beater
7. Add the almond powder now
8. Add the grated apple, and mix everything well with a spatula
9. Add enough milk gradually and mix well to get a thick dropping batter,
10.Transfer the batter into the greased tin 
11.Bake in a pre heated oven at 150 C/300 F for 40-45 minutes
12.Remove the cake check with a skewer and let it cool for 15- 20 minutes
13.Put it upside down on a tray cut it and serve it and enjoy
