Cheese & Veggie Multigrain Sandwich |
Sandwiches are the most easiest and quickest to make and they can be so filling too!
We use a Multigrain bread at home on a regular basis since it is very healthy option.
I have used little cheese and mild butter on the top part of the both the slices to grease the sandwich while making it on a griddle. I love to have my sandwich made on a griddle with butter and cheese, it tastes amazing. I love my cheese and butter but in case you don't like it, it is always an option, don't make use of it, the sandwich will still taste good, the major reason being the well made chutney! If you have made a tasty chutney, you really don't need ketchup too.
Ingredients
1 potato boiled and sliced
Grated Cheese |
1 onion sliced
1 cubes cheese grated (optional)
Butter to apply on the top side of the bread (optional)
Green Chutney
A pinch of ground black pepper
To make Green Chutney
Green Chutney |
1 bunch coriander chopped finely
3-4 tsp dessicated coconut
2-3 green chillies
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp salt or to taste
Juice of two lemons
1 tbsp sugar
3-4 tsp dessicated coconut
2-3 green chillies
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp salt or to taste
Juice of two lemons
1 tbsp sugar
Grind the above ingredients together with little water into a fine paste.
Apply chutney on one side of the bread, lay the veggies on them as shown in the picture above. Seal the sandwich, apply butter on the tops of both the slices, and place it on a griddle and cook on low flame for a few minutes.
Yummy sandwich is ready.
