NutBerry - Nutella Stuffed Strawberry Coated With Chocolate, Cocunut and Walnuts

Welcome 2015!

I wonder why does everyone get so excited about a New Year. What is so special about it? Its not that we get transferred into some other planet surrounded by different set of people or neither do any physical changes take place in a second as soon as clock turns 00.00. I mean what really happens between 31st Dec 11.39 to 1st Jan 00.01. Nothing right! So why is it such a big deal? I guess its more to do with human psychology than anything else. It is more to do with hope. We hope that our next year will be better than the previous one Its good to hope, hope gives you strength to bear the unbearable. As you often see people writing "This Too Shall Pass" as their status on their social networking platforms. Well it is true, every situation does have an end, good or bad, nothing lasts forever, its just about the time. Good times be grateful, tough times be hopeful and in between learn to adapt with the changes, that is the best way to enjoy life :)
Well I also belong to the category of those people who get excited about the New Year for two reasons, first,  I am a hopelessly hopeful person, the extremely optimistic kinds who love new beginnings and the other reason is because the New Year starts with my birthday and I love celebrating my birthday, get really excited about it ;)

I know I know you must be wondering, isn't she a little late to talk about New Year? Well yes maybe but then I was occupied with a lot of things - my birthday, more birthdays in the family and this year was special, it kick started on a happy note with the birth of my lil niece (brother's baby), so a new addition in the family and then catching up with all my friends, meeting some of them after so many days, months and years and after all this got a little unwell :(

Few birthday pictures of 2015 made very special by family and friends, feel blessed :)

People make new year resolutions, I don't believe in making resolutions but this year I had made it my motto to Eat, Drink, Sleep and Party but then thanx to my dearest friend Aiman's constant sweet nudging to start posting on Sav's Kitchen, I'l have to add cooking too, so lets kick start Sav's Kitchen Twenty Fifteen Series on a sweet note with Gorgeous NutBerry - Nutella Stuffed Strawberry Coated With Chocolate, Coconut and Walnuts and this time I have used milk chocolate instead of my fav dark!

NutBerry

Ingredients

Strawberries
Milk Chocolate - 100 gms
3 tbsp dessicated coconut
3 tbsp nutella
8-10 walnuts
2-3 drops of strawberry essence
A few toothpicks

Method

Slit the top of the strawberry and remove the white pulp.

Combine nutella and few chopped walnuts.
Stuff it with nutella and keep it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes.
Melt milk chocolate in a double boiler and add strawberry essence.
Mix it well.
Remove the strawberries and dip the bottom of the strawberry in chocolate.
Coat it with chopped walnuts.
Since the strawberries were freezed, the chocolate will harden and set faster.
Apply little chocolate on the top and cover the top completely.
Immediately sprinkle coconut so that it sets.
Place it on a plate covered with aluminium foil and keep it to set in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Take a toothpick, insert it in the strawberry and place the top of the strawberry on the top of the toothpick.
Your NutBerry is ready.
Relish it :)
