Cheesy Dilkhush Tacos

Dilkhush is a salad that is served in langar*. It is one of my favorite's. It actually makes your Dil / Heart Khush / Happy :)

In Cheesy Dilkhush Tacos, I have given the Dilkhush a little twist by adding grated cheese and stuffed them in tacos. It turned out to be amazing! My brother, who shrugs on the sight of vegetables served in food, loved it so much that he insisted on getting it made every day. Seeing this it made my dil khush ;)

A healthy option, its an interesting way of serving salad, specially for people who don't like eating salad's.

Cheese Dilkhush Tacos

Ingredients

1 packet of Tacos
1 onion chopped finely
1 tomato chopped finely
1 cucumber chopped finely
2 green chillies chopped finely
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp coriander
2-3 cubes of cheese grated
1 tsp salt or to taste
1 tsp red chilli powder

Method

Mix all the above contents together and stuff the filling inside the tacos. Garnish with grated cheese and coriander.

*{Langar is the term used in the Sikh religion or in Punjab in general for common kitchen/canteen where food is served in a Gurdwara to all the visitors (without distinction of background) for free. At the langar, only vegetarian food is served, to ensure that all people, regardless of their dietary restrictions, can eat as equals. Langar is open to Sikhs and non-Sikhs alike.
