Rajma by Saveen Kaur

Here comes a heart warming soulful dish your way ðŸĨ°

Hey lovelies here comes an easy peasy recipe of Rajma that I have learnt from my Mom.

She was a fabulous cook and most of my Indian Food Cooking is influenced by my sweetest Mom.

I used to love watching her cook and then relish hot yummy food made by her.

She was also one of the driving force as far as Sav's Kitchen is concerned.

She used to not only guide me in recipes but also give me ideas when felt stuck for you lovelies 😘

This is one of my favourite dish and it was time I share the recipe of this with you lovelies 💕

Ingredients -

1 cup Rajma

1 Onion

1 Tomato

4-5 Cloves of Garlic

1 tsp chopped Ginger

1 Green Chilli

1 Cinnamon Stick

2 Cloves

2 Black Pepper

1 Moti Elaichi

2 Cardamom

1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder ( add more if you like spicy )

1 tsp Garam Masala Powder

1 tsp Turmeric Powder

1 tsp Chaat Masala

1 tsp Black Pepper Powder

A pinch of Cardamom Powder

1 Bay Leaf

1 tsp Oil (add more if you want a little more, this is a low oil recipe to eat at home so I add little, you can add more if you want it to make it for parties and make it a bit more fancy depending on your guests ðŸĪŠðŸ˜„ )

Chopped Coriander for garnishing

Method -

Soak Rajma Beans overnight!

In a cooker add washed Rajma, add 1.5  cups fresh water, add more if you feel it's not enough!

Add salt and turmeric powder.

Put it to pressure cook.

Give 8-10 Whistles because Rajma Beans need to be cooked properly.

In a grinder, add Onion, Tomato, Ginger, Garlic and Green Chilli.

Add little water to make it into a fine paste.

In a pan, add oil, add Bay Leaf, Cinnamon Stick, Cloves, Black Pepper, Black Cardamom, Green Cardamom.

Let it cook for a few minutes.

Add Onion Tomato Ginger Garlic Paste.

Let it saute for a few minutes till it thickens a bit.

Then add a bit of Salt to taste, a bit of Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Garam Masala, Black Pepper Powder, Cardamom Powder.

Mix in all well and let it cook for a few minutes till the masala thickens and is cooked well.

Add in the cooker Rajma with the water in which you pressure cooked it!

Let it boil for a few minutes.

Transfer it back to Pressure Cooker and give it 2-3 Whistles.

Transfer it in the serving bowl and garnish it with chopped Coriander.

Serve it hot with Paratha or Rice.

Hope you lovelies enjoy this so much ❤️

Happy Cooking Happy Relishing 😊

Lots of Love

Sav 💕
