Pulao by Saveen Kaur

Hey lovelies here comes an easy peasy Pulao Recipe I had made some time back!


I find Pulao to be so nourishing and warm!


Do you know sometimes the kind of warmth you get from certain kind of dishes can be hardly expressed!

That's the power of good food, so good 🫶


Let's get to the recipe of this warm delicious Pulao below 👇 😊


Ingredients -

1 tbsp Olive Oil

2 cups rice soaked in water for 1 hour

1 Capsicum diced

1 Onion sliced thinly

1 Potato cut lengthwise 

1 tbsp chopped Garlic

1 packet of Cherry Tomatoes

1 tsp Biryani Masala

1 tsp Red Chilli Powder 

1 Cucumber 

A few Mint leaves

1 tsp Jeera

2-3 Cloves

Salt to taste

1 cup Curd or more as you want.


Method - 

Heat oil in a Kadhai. 

Add Jeera and Cloves.

Add chopped Garlic and cook till it changes color. 

Add sliced Onion and cook till it turns translucent. 

Add diced Capsicum and cook for a few minutes. 

Add sliced Potatoes.

Add half packet of Cherry Tomatoes. Slice them into two. Keep the remaining to eat it raw. Trust me it tastes amazing! 

Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, biryani masala and mix them well. 

Add salt and mix in well. 

Add soaked rice and mix it well with everything. 

Let it cook till done.

Transfer the Pulao into a serving dish. 

Top the dish with Curd. 

Garnish it with raw Cherry Tomatoes, Cucumber Slices, Mint leaves and a few Jalapenos.
