Kanda Mirchi Paratha by Saveen Kaur

Delicious Breakfast Option to go along with your Morning Chai!

Never underestimate the importance of eating something tasty in the morning and of course healthy too! It not only fuels you up for the day but also sets the right mood for a good day ☺️

Serves - 4



  • 2 Cups Wheat Flour

  • Water as per required 

  • A pinch of Salt ( Optional )

  • 1 tbsp Oil


  • 1 Finely Chopped Onion 

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder 

  • 1 tsp Ajwain


To make the Dough - 

  • In a bowl add flour and salt.

  • Add oil. 

  • Mix it well. 

  • Add water as per required to knead a smooth dough.

  • Keep it in the fridge covered for half an hour.

  • Remove from the dough from the fridge and make big round balls.

  • Keep them aside.

To make the Paratha - 

  • Roll out the balls flat. 

  • Spread the chopped onions and masala over flattened ball evenly.

  • Make into a round again. 

  • Roll out the stuffed ball carefully. 

  • Put it on a hot greased griddle. 

  • Apply ghee on both sides and cook it well. 

  • Remove it from fire.

Serve hot with Ginger Tea 😋
