Spicy Curd Rice

Spicy Curd Rice is made with Curd and Steamed rice. A dish so simple to cook and so delicious to taste.

I have made it spicy because I love spicy food, you can always reduce the chillies as per your comfort.


1 tbsp Ghee
1 cup Steamed Rice
1 cup Curd
4-5 Curry Leaves (Curry Pata)
2-3 Green Chillies
1 tsp Mustard Seeds (Rai)
1 tsp Salt or to taste
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
A pinch of Black Pepper Powder


Heat Ghee in a kadhai. Add curry leaves and green chillies. Add mustard seeds and let it splutter. Then add Curd, add salt, red chilli powder and black pepper powder. Let it cook for a minute or two. Add steamed rice and mix well. If you feel the rice is too thick and requires more curd, then add little more curd and mix well. Cook for a minute or two. 
Serve hot!
