Spaghetti in Herbed Tahini and Tomato Sauce

Spaghetti in Herbed Tahini Tomato Sauce! Yes you read it right, I have used Tahini in this sauce. As you know I love to fuse different elements and experiment, with all modesty the outcome was fantastic!  The combination of Tahini, Tomato Sauce and Herbs was creamy and yummy :)

Ingredients

Half Packet Spaghetti
2 Tomatoes
1 tbsp Olive Oil
Half Red Bell Pepper
Half Yellow Bell Pepper
Half Green Capsicum
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Tahini
2 tsp Jamaican Jerk Seasoning
1 tsp Rosemary
A pinch of Nutmeg powder
1 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Paprika powder
1 tsp Red Chilli Flakes
Dill for garishing
Half cup Hot Water
1 cheese cube grated
1 tsp Oregano

Method

Boil tomatoes. Let them cool. Grind them in a food processor to make a fine puree.
Heat oil in a pan. Add tomato puree. Cook for a minute on high flame and then reduce the flame.
Add Jamaican jerk seasoning, rosemary, paprika powder, black pepper powder, oregano, nutmeg powder, red chilli flakes.
Add salt and cook for a few minutes till the tomato paste thickens.
Add tahini and fold it well with the tomato paste. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
Add hot water, give it a boil, add vegetables, add sugar and then cook on low flame for 5-10 minutes.
Add grated cheese and cook for a minute.
Add the spaghetti and let it cook till the gravy thickens.
Add a few olives and mix it well.
Remove it on a serving bowl and garnish with parsley.

Since I didn't have any fresh herbs at home while cooking as it was an impromtu plan, I sprinkled little dill and grated cheese.
You can always taste little and see what is missing and then add seasonings accordingly.
