Jamaican Jerk Seasoned Pizza

Jamaican Jerk Seasoned Pizza

This is the other variation of the previous pizza. In this I have added capsicum and instead of using Barbeque Seasoning, I have used Jamaican Jerk Seasoning.

Jamaican Jerk Seasoning consists of onion, thyme, black pepper, all spice, cinnamon, red chilli, nutmeg, chives, and salt and sugar. It is a very spiced mixture which gives a wonderful flavor to the food!

Ingredients

1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 chopped onion
1/2 chopped capsicum
1 tsp garlic paste
1 chopped tomato
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
A pinch of lemon pepper
Salt to taste
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1/2 glass of water
Pizza bread
2 cheese cubes grated
75 gms - 100 gms cottage cheese
2 tsp Jamaican Jerk seasoning
Butter

Pizza Base

Heat oil, add chopped onions, cook till light in color, add garlic paste, cook till it turns dark in color, add chopped tomatoes. Mix well, cook for a few minutes, add oregano, red chilli flakes and lemon pepper. Kindly note you can black pepper too, if you don't have lemon pepper. Cook for a minute. Add salt and mix well. Add tomato ketchup and mix well. You can also use tomato puree, I did not have it ready at that time and was short on time, since my brother was pestering me too much to give him the pizza asap so made use of ketchup. Add 1/2 glass water, give it a boil, then cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes till the sauce thickens well enough for the base.
Keep it aside.

Cottage Cheese

Semi Fry cottage cheese and keep aside. Semi fry it because it will harden when you bake the pizza in the oven.

Assemble The Pizza

Apply butter on the bread, spread sauce on the bread and cover it completely, add fried cottage cheese cubes and chopped capsicum and garnish it with cheese. Sprinkle Jamaican Jerk seasoning over the pizza.
Put in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
Remove it from the oven when you see the cheese melted.
Serve, Eat and Relish.
