Creamy Mushrooms On Toast

This dish is gonna make you crazy ;)

I got such a terrific response on putting up the picture of this dish on my social media platforms and there was such a demand for the recipe, that I had to put everything else on hold to first upload this recipe.

So lets get started.... :)


200 gms Mushrooms
2 tbsp Butter
Dried Oregano
Paprika Powder
1 tbsp Refined Flour or Maida
Salt to taste
Black Pepper Powder
1 cup Milk
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Jamaican Jerk Seasoning
Bread Slices - 6
Fresh Parsley


First cook Mushrooms -

Heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan, add sliced Mushrooms and mix well.
Add half tsp salt and a pinch of pepper and cook till Mushrooms reduce in size and are done.
Keep it aside.

Prepare Sauce for Creamy Mushrooms -

Heat 1 tbsp butter and add 1 tbsp maida. Mix it well and keep stirring till it turns pinkish in color.
Add milk. The milk should be at room temperature. Give it a boil and add salt, oregano, paprika powder, Jamaican Jerk Seasoning and sugar. All one tsp each. Reduce the flame when it starts getting thick and add cooked Mushrooms. Mix them well and cook till the sauce turns thick in consistency like shown in the picture.

Place it on a toasted slice of bread and garnish with fresh Parsley.
You can cut the bread in any shape you want. I have cut them round.

Your absolutely delicious Creamy Mushrooms on Toast are ready.
